| What Is A Proxy Server? |
| A proxy server is a computer that offers a computer network service to
allow users to make indirect network connections to other
network services. A user connects to the proxy server, then
requests a connection, file, or other resource available on
a different server. The proxy provides the resource either
by connecting to the specified server or by serving it from
a cache. In some cases, the proxy may alter the user's request
or the server's response for various purposes.
Common proxy applications are caching Web proxies or unblockers
as some call them. These provide a nearby cache of Web pages
and files available on remote servers, allowing local
network users to access them quickly or reliably. The other possibility is they unblock sites which you are restricted from accessing. |

| Surf The Internet Freely & Unblock MySpace |
| Using this service, you can browse the web anonymously and unblock sites restricted by your school, work or ISP. Sites like MySpace, Friendster, bebo and others will work. In addition to unblocking a lot of fun stuff, you will be able to browse the web without your IP address showing up in the logs of the sites you visit. You can also block scripts or images. These features are helpful to prevent a lot of web junk. This service is not encrypted. For encrypted access to a fully secure SOCKS SSH tunnel that also unblocks YouTube, click here. |
| Why Use A Proxy? |
Many schools, businesses and even Governments block access to some web sites. A proxy can unblock these sites and allow unfiltered access. Every web server you visit logs your IP address and the logs are typically stored for a long time. Using a proxy hides your real IP address.
